DESCRIPTION: 

Sterling silver with a stylized floral band of arabesque decoration and a ruffled rim. Ivory insulators separating its arched handle. Base with winged gryphon feet supporting a central font and burner.

CONDITION: 

Very good condition with original stand and minor wear / divets; burner cap hinge pin replaced.

MARKED: 

“BIGELOW.KENNARD&CO.” [retailer name on kettle only]. On each piece: “LION – ANCHOR – G” [symbols for Gorham] / “STERLING’ / “1570” / “N” (date code for 1881).
