Probably Philadelphia c. 1880

A rare and distinctive form much favored by designers such as Frank Furness and Daniel Pabst, this Modern Gothic candle sconce was probably made in Philadelphia. German language newspapers printed there and dated 1880 were found behind the original mirror of this fixture.
